West Indies v South Africa - 1st Test 1991/2 - South Africa 2nd Innings

West Indies v South Africa - 1st Test 1991/2 - South Africa 2nd Innings

Set 256 for victory, the South Africans got off to a poor start losing opener Hudson for a duck.
Wessels was scratchy and when he fell South Africa were under pressure at 57/2.
Peter Kirsten then joined opener Mark Rushmere in a 3rd wicket partnership of 97 to ease pressure on a nervous middle order.
Rushmere brought up a brilliant hundred but at 200/5 West Indies still had a chance.
Dave Richardson then batted nervelessly to add an unbroken 57 for the 6th wicket to take South Africa to victory.
Rushmere was man of the match, his hundred making light of what could have been a difficult chase in the decisive 4th innings.
