This blog will contain scorecards, match reports, statistics and other information from games I play using a dice cricket simulation published by Owzat/Lambourne Games called International Cricket.
The game is played using 6 sided dice, statistical charts, and unique player cards much like popular dice baseball games such as APBA.
I use an Excel helper to simulate all dice rolls and keep track of notes and score in order to play games faster than by hand.
There are various reviews of the game on board game sites so I won't go into detail, only to say I have found this the most accurate and entertaining statistical simulation of cricket I've tried.
The game has become somewhat of an obsession for me with me clicking through the overs while watching a real game of cricket live on tv until the small hours of the morning.
The game captures the flow and drama of a cricket match perfectly and I hope to convey some of that entertainment in the match reports to follow.
